Principal 's Birthday
Birthday Celebration of Rev. Sr. Felicitas Kiritappa, Our Principal The school community gathered in joyful unity to celebrate the birthday of our beloved Principal, Rev. Sr. Felicitas Kiritappa, a true woman of God whose life radiates the virtues of honesty, justice, determination, and purpose. Known for her deep faith and unwavering commitment to her mission, Sister Felicitas continues to inspire everyone through her exemplary leadership and gracious presence. The celebration began with a heartfelt tribute by the Administrative Staff, who expressed their love and admiration through a touching prayer service, sincere words of appreciation, and melodious songs. Their offering beautifully reflected the respect and affection Sister commands through her fairness, compassion, and dedication. Following this, the students took centre stage, filling the atmosphere with joy and reverence as they expressed their open admiration and gratitude for their Principal. Through their performances, speeches, and warm gestures, they conveyed how deeply they value her guidance and how profoundly she influences their lives. The event was not just a birthday celebration but a powerful expression of the esteem and honour with which Rev. Sr. Felicitas Kiritappa is held by every member of the school family. Educational Excursion to Goa — Classes XI and IX
The students of Classes XI and IX of Sacred Heart Girls’ High School, Bengaluru, went on an exciting educational excursion to Goa in September 2025, organized in collaboration with Travel On, Bangalore. The Class XI trip was held from 16th to 19th September, followed by the Class IX trip from 19th to 22nd September. Students visited Goa’s iconic landmarks — Fort Aguada, Calangute and Vagator Beaches, the Basilica of Bom Jesus, and the Mangeshi Temple — and enjoyed a lively boat cruise on the Mandovi River. The excursion offered a perfect blend of learning, fun, and adventure. Guided by the school management and teachers, students followed all safety norms and returned with cherished memories of friendship, exploration, and joy — a true learning experience beyond the classroom.

Teachers’ Day Celebration
Date: 4th September & 9th September 2025 Venue: Rose Virginie Hall This year, Teachers’ Day was celebrated in two special segments at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School. Since 5th September was a holiday for Eid-Milad, the festivities began on 4th September with a solemn and graceful gathering in Rose Virginie Hall. The venue, beautifully draped by Mr. Sebastian, created the perfect ambience for the occasion. The programme commenced with a heartfelt prayer service led by the school’s office staff, invoking blessings on all the teachers from different institutions within the Good Shepherd Campus. Following this, Sr. Shanta Selvaraj, our Manager, delivered an inspiring address, reminding everyone of the noble vocation of teaching. The morning concluded with a fellowship lunch, where tributes were warmly paid to teachers and the staff enjoyed a time of bonding and gratitude. The celebration came alive once again on 9th September, when the SHPTA organised a vibrant programme at 1:00 pm in the same hall for the teaching and non-teaching staff. If the 4th was solemn, the 9th was spirited! Teachers dropped their usual poise and joined in games, laughter, and light-hearted fun. There was singing, dancing, and even moments of childlike mischief, as colleagues celebrated together with unrestrained joy. The highlight was the thoughtful presentation of gifts to all staff members by the SHPTA and Alumni Association—a gesture that was met with heartfelt applause. The dual celebration—solemn on the 4th and spirited on the 9th—made Teachers’ Day 2025 truly unforgettable, striking the perfect balance between reverence and revelry.

Grade 12 & 10 Picnic to Suggee Resort
The Grade 12 and 10 students enjoyed a fun-filled picnic to Suggee Resort on 21st August 2025. The day began with music and dancing on the bus, setting a lively tone for the adventure ahead. At the resort, students participated in exciting team-building games and thrilling activities such as ziplining, ATV rides, Burma and zigzag bridges, rock climbing, tyre climbing, and water zorbing. The highlight of the afternoon was a soulful jam session by Elangela with her guitar, followed by high tea and snacks. As the sun set, students captured memories with group pictures before heading back. The return journey was calm and reflective, ending with a final round of dancing. The picnic was a perfect blend of adventure, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

PRIMARY SECTION Talents Day 2025–26
The Primary Section of Sacred Heart Girls’ High School celebrated its much-awaited Talents Day on 7th August 2025 with great enthusiasm. Organized by the SHPTA, the event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity and confidence. A record 429 participants enthralled the audience through a wide array of competitions including Fancy Dress, Action Song, Clay Modelling, Folk Dances of India, Best Out of Waste, Rangoli, Flower Arrangement, and Exceptional Talents. The Prize Distribution Ceremony, held in the R.V. Hall, honoured winners with certificates and medals presented by the Principal, Vice Principal, SHPTA representatives, and the Primary School Co-ordinator. The day was filled with colour, joy, and applause, leaving parents appreciative of this platform that fosters holistic growth. Talents Day 2025–26 was a memorable celebration of creativity and community spirit.

Sacred Heart Girls’ High School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with unmatched dignity, splendour, and patriotic fervour. The event commenced with a professional Guard of Honour and the solemn Flag Hoisting, stirring pride in every heart. The marching contingent, valiant and disciplined, mirrored the spirit of our nation’s soldiers. This year’s celebration was made even more meaningful as the school also joyfully commemorated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven—a day of deep spiritual significance that honours Mary’s glorious passage into eternal life. The twin celebrations beautifully reflected both love for the nation and devotion to faith, blending patriotism with prayer. The programme unfolded with heartfelt Words of Welcome, followed by a spectacular March Past, a reverent Prayer Service, and soulful patriotic songs. Vibrant dances illuminated the stage, powerfully depicting the nation’s struggle, freedom, and cultural beauty. The Inter-House Quiz Competition for Middle and High School students was held on 30th July 2025 at R.V. Hall, aiming to test knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork. Each house — St. Margaret, St. Agnes, St. Lucy, and St. Teresa— was represented by a team of three students. The quiz featured diverse rounds including Current Affairs, Math, Science, Literature, Rapid Fire, Visual Round, and a special St. Mary Euphrasia Round. POIESIS 2025 - A Resounding Celebration of Talent and Creativity!
🌟 Sacred Heart Girls' High School, August 1 & 2 The much-awaited Poiesis 2025 unfolded like a dream across two spectacular days at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School — and what an unforgettable celebration it was! A vibrant tapestry of creativity, talent, and youthful dynamism came alive as the campus pulsed with energy, colour, and applause. From the moment the events kicked off, Poiesis dazzled with a kaleidoscope of competitions: mesmerising dance performances, melodic singing, the flair and finesse of the fashion show, the comic genius of Mad Ads, insightful film reviews, intricate vegetable carving, and imaginative poster making. Each event was a showcase of brilliance and originality. What stood out was not just the performances, but the sheer confidence, creativity, and style with which every student participated. The stage belonged to them — and they owned it with poise and passion! The grand Closing Ceremony was a moment of pure magic. With joyful hearts, proud smiles, and thunderous applause, the event concluded on a high note, leaving everyone inspired and elated. Celebrating the Legacy of St. Mary Euphrasia
Sacred Heart Girls' High School – July 28 & 30, 2025 Sacred Heart Girls' High School joyously celebrated the birth anniversary of St. Mary Euphrasia, Foundress of the Good Shepherd Convent, with a series of inspiring and creative events on July 28 and 30, 2025. On July 28, the school came alive with vibrant competitions for Grades 6 to 10, paying tribute to the Saint’s life and legacy. Students showcased their talents through a wide range of artistic and intellectual expressions — from thoughtful reflections on her quotes to exquisitely handcrafted photo frames, stunning portrait paintings that revealed artistic brilliance, and captivating PowerPoint presentations that transported viewers into the life and mission of St. Euphrasia. The collages, rich with imagery and insight, were a moving tribute to her compassion and service. The celebrations continued on July 30 with a deeply touching assembly by the Primary and Middle School. A soulful skit brought St. Euphrasia’s story to life, stirring hearts and leaving a lasting impression on all present. The event concluded with a heartfelt message by Rev. Sr. Felicitas, who commended the students for keeping alive the spirit and values of the beloved saint. The celebration was a beautiful blend of reverence, creativity, and inspiration — a true homage to a life devoted to love, service, and the upliftment of others.

SACRED HEART FEAST CELEBRATION — A DAY OF FAITH, REVERENCE AND GRATITUDE
Sacred Heart Girls' High School solemnly celebrated its Sacred Heart Feast, living true to its name and legacy. The Special Assembly commenced with words of welcome and blessing by Principal Rev. Sr. Felicitas Kiritappa, in the gracious presence of Manager Rev. Sr. Shanta Selvaraj, Vice Principal Ms. Jozina Braggs, staff and students. The event began with a Bible reading, setting a deeply reflective tone. Heartfelt and inspiring messages from students echoed their devotion, earning them much-deserved appreciation. A moving rendition of 'Sweet Heart of Jesus' filled the hall with reverence, while graceful dances and a meaningful skit on 'Acts of Kindness' embodied the spirit of compassion that defines the Sacred Heart Family. Rev. Sr. Shanta Selvaraj’s words of blessing and the concluding Mass by Rev. Fr. Avinash D'Souza brought the celebration to a spiritually fulfilling close. A delightful lunch ensured that the day ended on a joyful note for all.

Awareness Programme on International Day Against Drug Abuse
Sacred Heart Girls' High School organised an impactful awareness programme on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, prioritising the safety and well-being of its students. The session began with a prayer service, setting a reflective tone for the gathering. Dr. Albert P.J., founder of Abhayam, was welcomed as the Chief Speaker. Through a series of interactive activities and thought-provoking games, students witnessed how addictions—whether to substances or other harmful behaviours—can gradually damage a person’s life. The programme addressed a wide spectrum of addictions and clearly outlined their severe consequences. The session left students with a deeper understanding of these issues and the importance of making informed, healthy choices. A formal vote of thanks marked the close of the programme.

Freshers' Day 'Masquerade'—An Unforgettable Celebration!
Sacred Heart Girls' High School came alive with energy and excitement as the much-awaited Freshers' Day, themed 'Masquerade,' unfolded in true style. The masked grand entry of the freshers set the tone, with mystery and anticipation in the air. Grade 12 students gave a warm, spirited welcome, and the school choir’s soulful rendition of 'Goodness of God'reflected the values at the heart of the institution. What followed was a riot of lights, music, and unmissable swag as the freshers hit the ramp, brimming with confidence. With witty introductions, fun challenges, and a lively Q&A to crown Mr. & Ms. Heartian, the atmosphere buzzed with laughter and cheer. Principal Rev. On 20 June 2025, Sacred Heart Girls' High School pulsed with purpose and rhythm as Internationa l Yoga and Music Day unfolded in a vibrant Special Assembly. Declared open with reverence by Principal Rev. Sr. Felicitas through The Sign of the Cross, the morning flowed seamlessly into a solemn Bible reading and prayer, anchoring the event in reflection. A graceful sequence of yoga asanas soon followed, championing not just physical vitality but a deeper call to mental clarity and spiritual balance. Grade 11 Orientation Ignites a Year of Promise
The Grade 11 (1SC) Orientation Programme, held on June 16, 2025, at RV Hall, offered a warm and inspiring start to the academic year. The event featured a symbolic Lamp Lighting, a soulful prayer service, and a motivating address by the Principal, Rev. Sr. Felcitas. Rules and regulations were then displayed on-screen to acquaint both students and parents with the expectations and criteria at Sacred Heart Girls' High School. A stirring performance of The Climb by Grade 12 students followed. Freshers and parents enjoyed a delightful breakfast and a guided campus tour before heading home, filled with excitement and hope for the journey ahead.

Prize Distribution Day – Primary Section
The Primary Section of Sacred Heart Girls'High School celebrated its Annual Prize Distribution Day on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Auditorium. The event recognized and honored the academic and co-curricular achievements of students from Standards I to V. It began with a warm welcome and the traditional lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries. The ceremony featured a heartfelt prayer by Ms. Nirmala and a melodious prayer song performed by the High School Choir. Ms. Meenakshi introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Kumaran M. Pathi, who later addressed the students with an inspiring message to dream big and pursue excellence.
The programme included the distribution of prizes for Standards I to III, followed by a vibrant contemporary dance performance by the High School students, and continued with the prize distribution for Standards IV and V. The event began with a beautiful song, thanking and praising the Lord's presence and invoking His blessings. The gathering was warmly welcomed, and the Chief Guest, Col. N J Kumar, a distinguished Army Officer, was introduced. Tokens of appreciation were presented by Ms. Jozina Braggs to the esteemed dignitaries, including Rev. Sr. Shantha Selvaraj, Manager, and Rev. Sr. Felicitas Kiritappa, Principal. The highlight of the event was the Investiture Ceremony, where the newly elected council of the ISC and ICSE 2025-26 pledged their love and service. The programme continued with a captivating semi-classical and contemporary dance recital, showcasing the students' elegance and grace. Outstanding students who achieved 100% in most subjects were felicitated with distinction prizes and cash awards, recognizing their stellar academic performance. The Chief Guest, Col. J. N. World Environment Day 2025.
World Environment Day 2025 was marked at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School, Bengaluru with enthusiasm and eco-conscious creativity under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.” Highlights included a reflective prayer service, a silent mime on plastic’s impact, and engaging eco-activities such as a Treasure Hunt, paper and tote bag making, all aimed at promoting sustainability. Sapling plantations by NCC cadets and a symbolic plant presentation reinforced the school’s green commitment. With students actively participating and embracing eco-friendly habits, the event echoed a clear message: change starts with us.

The day concluded with a scrumptious lunch, fostering camaraderie and marking a memorable occasion that will forever be etched in our hearts.

The Teachers' Orientation Programme on 30th May for the 2025-2026 academic session was an electrifying kick-off to the new year! Renowned motivational speaker Mr. Paul Robinson ignited the stage, guiding teachers through interactive activities and reflective discussions on growth, teamwork, and student mentoring. On March 22nd 2025, Sacred Heart Girls' High School observed World Water Day with great enthusiasm. Our students participated wholeheartedly, creating posters and e-posters to raise awareness about the water and sanitation crisis and about water conservation.
