Awareness Programme on International Day Against Drug Abuse
Sacred Heart Girls' High School organised an impactful awareness programme on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, prioritising the safety and well-being of its students. The session began with a prayer service, setting a reflective tone for the gathering. Dr. Albert P.J., founder of Abhayam, was welcomed as the Chief Speaker. Through a series of interactive activities and thought-provoking games, students witnessed how addictions—whether to substances or other harmful behaviours—can gradually damage a person’s life. The programme addressed a wide spectrum of addictions and clearly outlined their severe consequences. The session left students with a deeper understanding of these issues and the importance of making informed, healthy choices. A formal vote of thanks marked the close of the programme.
