International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

On 25th November, in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the students of Scared Heart Girls High School organized a rally to create awareness about ending violence against women and promoting a culture of respect and safety. The day commenced with a special morning assembly led by Class 7A. The students highlighted the significance of the occasion, urging everyone to break the silence and stand united against all forms of violence. At 11:00 a.m., the rally began with enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, Guides, ACT students, Social Service students and ISC Class 11 students. They were joined by the Principal, Vice Principal and several teachers, who walked alongside the students in solidarity. Carrying placards, posters, and chanting slogans, the participants spread strong messages advocating women’s rights, safety, and equality. The rally not only reached the wider public but also instilled in the students a deeper understanding of their responsibility in shaping a safer and more inclusive society. The event proved to be a meaningful step in fostering compassion, courage, and collective action towards eliminating violence against women.
