Sacred Heart Girls’ High School Gloriously Celebrates the 79th Independence Day
Sacred Heart Girls’ High School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with unmatched dignity, splendour, and patriotic fervour. The event commenced with a professional Guard of Honour and the solemn Flag Hoisting, stirring pride in every heart. The marching contingent, valiant and disciplined, mirrored the spirit of our nation’s soldiers. This year’s celebration was made even more meaningful as the school also joyfully commemorated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven—a day of deep spiritual significance that honours Mary’s glorious passage into eternal life. The twin celebrations beautifully reflected both love for the nation and devotion to faith, blending patriotism with prayer. The programme unfolded with heartfelt Words of Welcome, followed by a spectacular March Past, a reverent Prayer Service, and soulful patriotic songs. Vibrant dances illuminated the stage, powerfully depicting the nation’s struggle, freedom, and cultural beauty. The NCC Drill stood out as a display of discipline and strength, while the Chief Guest, Retd Major Sushmita Mehrotra Dhawan's inspirational speech left a deep impression on every listener. The occasion also honoured excellence through Awards and Recognitions, before concluding with a gracious Vote of Thanks. Every moment of the celebration resounded with patriotism and pride, making the 79th Independence Day at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School—alongside the Feast of the Assumption—an unforgettable tribute to both the nation and the Divine Mother. Sacred Heart Girls’ High School Blazes with Glory on the 79th Independence Day! 🇮🇳✨
